Sunil Tatkare on Excellent Diplomacy to Stop Farmer’s Indefinite Hunger Strike
The NCP leader and MLA, Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare discussed the issues with the people affected by the Wakan-Pali-Khopoli highway project which helped to stop the indefinite hunger strike undertaken by them. Mr Sunil Tatkare successfully discussed issues with the farmers affected with Wakan-Khopoli highway expansion project. The farmers have taken up indefinite hunger strike since last few days for the fulfilment of their demands. Mr Tatkare has attained success in resolving this issue through a positive dialogue with these farmers.
During the meeting, Mr Sunil Tatkare said that he is proficient to give justice to the project affected people. Being a member of the opposition party, he is committed to offering the right compensation amount to the project affected people on behalf of the BJP Government. This matter has been the responsibility of Mr Tatkare and farmers need not worry about this issue. If required, he also will join a hunger strike regarding this demand. Due to the successful convincing of Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare, these farmers stopped their indefinite hunger strike.
Mr Sunil Tatkare further added that Honourable Mr Sharad Pawar has been the guide and mentor to the Prime Minister of this country. This clearly indicates the power and talent of Honourable Mr Pawar. The NCP has been committed to rewarding the right compensations to all project affected people. During this meeting, the farmer’s committee president, Mr Pramod More thanked Mr Sunil Tatkare.
Mr Sunil Tatkare also said that the questions related to farmers are raised in the assembly house. This compensation matter is also considered along with different aligned issues related to farmers. There will be a separate meeting on 2nd and 3rd January 2018 regarding the issue of farmers affected by Pali-Khopoli highway expansion project. If required Honourable Mr Sharad Pawar, Hon Mr Dhananjay Munde, and Mr Ajit Dada Pawar will pay attention to this matter. On behalf of NCP, Mr Tatkareassured that they will give appropriate justice to these affected farmers. On 25th December, Mr Sharad Pawar will visit Pali, during this visit the affected people can present their petition regarding this demand for a better impact.
During this meeting NCP leader, Mr Vasant Oswal, Tehsildar B. N. Nimbalkar, Farmer’s Committee Working President, Mr Vinod Bhoir, Vice President, Mr Chandrakant Shinde, Secretary, Mr Girish Katkar, etc, were present.
This meeting has set an example to demonstrate the role and responsibility of an ideal opposition party to resolve different issues related to people and also to ensure people about their demand fulfilment. Mr Sunil Tatkare has proved his convincing capabilities by convincing farmers about their demands and diverting them from the indefinite hunger strike decision. Mr Sunil Tatkare has been always concerned for the Konkani people which is proven one more time due to his active presence in this meeting. His assurance to involve NCP superpowers in this matter also presents his positivity to reward the right compensation amount and justice to the project affected farmers. Mr Sunil Tatkare’s active leadership, concern for the masses and diplomacy is noticed prominently with this meeting.
