Mr Sunil Tatkare On Meeting for Pending Demands with Reference to Central Railway

With 2019 election results Raigad district is experiencing an active leadership of senior NCP leader Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare. Mr Sunil Tatkare has taken the charge as Member of Parliament just a few days back and he has started his work very enthusiastically. Mr Tatkare strongly believes that transportation facilities in the area represent the development of the respective area and he always insisted on the better connectivity in the Konkan region. Due to this thought process, he has concentrated on resolving Konkan Railway and Central Railway issues.

Recently Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare conducted a meeting with the Konkan Railway Director and General Manager of Central Railway Mr A. K. Singh. During this meeting, he discussed different issues associated with the patch connecting Central and Konkan Railway.

During this meeting, Mr Tatkare presented different demands of people with reference to Central Railway. Major demands presented during the meeting included the need for a separate railway station Karav, Taluka-Pen, District-Raigad, construction of service road should be undertaken from Karav railway crossing to Talav Karavi village. The Kharpada station of Pen Taluka was sanctioned a few years back, but its work is not accomplished yet. Railway administration is required to pay attention to this. Raigad district region from Pen Taluka Gadab and Kasu villages is declared as an industrial area. Many reputed industries are established in this belt. Its population is around 40000 and 7000 to 8000 people travel daily through this area. Therefore, it is expected that there should be a new railway station in this region or a halt of Konkan Railway.

Other demands presented by Mr Sunil Tatkare during the meeting involved considering Pen Railway station as a halt for all long-distance trains. Medha Railway station work has not completed yet, it should be accomplished as early as possible and there should be a facility to Konkan railway travellers to catch the train at any station with their convenience.

Apart from this, one foremost demand and request was presented by Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare during this meeting. During Konkan Railway project, Konkan Railway has acquired various lands in Roha and Aapta belt. But eventually, these railway stations were included in Central Railway line. And people who were affected by this project have not been recruited by both Konkan Railway and Central Railway. Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare requested authorities, to resolve this dispute and to give justice to the project affected people.

Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare is always recognised as a leader with a development vision and a man of deeds. The way he has started his work and assured people about the fulfilment of their demands is really promising. Having his own roots in the Konkan region, he has a better understanding of the problems and the approach of the Konkani people. His efforts to provide job opportunities to local people in Railway projects are appreciable and it will help numerous families in the Konkan belt. His pressure to avail additional halts to Konkan Railway will add to the convenience and comfort of Konkani people. Konkan region was considered an undeveloped region of the Maharashtra state, but the picture will transform now due to the strong political support of Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare.
