Mr Sunil Tatkare On Fruitful Meeting Regarding Konkan Railway Issues

The Raigad Lok Sabha Constituency observed major changes in the 2019 election and privileged to be led by Shree Sunil Tatkare. Newly elected Member of Parliament has started his projects, tasks immediately and recently Konkan Railway Authorities took the amazing experience of the remarkable problem-solving and work approach of Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare.

After being appointed as the new Member of Parliament of Raigad Lok Sabha constituency, Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare conducted his first meeting with Konkan Railway Managerial Director Mr Sanjay Gupta. The meeting was organised to attend to different prolonged pending issues of the Konkan Railway.

The major issues addressed during this meeting were the Konkan Railway security and the safety of the travellers. Different safety measures in order to assure a safe journey to the Konkan Railway travellers were discussed and Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare posted regarding it on his official social media pages of Twitter and Facebook. One of the important points was to increase the platform height at Khed, Divankhavati and Kolad Railway stations. Another point discussed during the meeting was regarding the construction of overbridge at Shiravali Railway station in Ratnagiri District. Mr Sunil Tatkare also put forward the demand for a special train during the upcoming Ganesh festival.

Apart from these demands, other important points were also discussed in the meeting. It included the concern for people who were affected due to Konkan Railway Project, their absorption and recruitment in the Konkan Railway. Mr Sunil Tatkare and Mr Sanjay Gupta also discussed positively on the EMO Railway service on Panvel-Chiplun route. Mr Sunil Tatkare also presented the demand of Khed people to the Konkan Railway authority. Khed Railway station should be considered as a halt for major trains travelling on this route. This pending demand was also addressed in the meeting. Konkan Railway authority replied that they are ready to send a proposal to the Railway Ministry regarding this. Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare assured that he also will discuss the demands of people about Konkan Railway to Railway Minister and will try to fulfil them. He further said that he will take the necessary steps and follow-up to resolve the issues and demands regarding the Konkan Railway.

It can be concluded that the meeting of Shree Sunil Tatkare with Railway Authority was quite fruitful. It addressed several issues and focussed on safety, convenience and comfort of the Konkan Railway Travellers. Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare has initiated his term as a Member of Parliament and he took the first step to assure better and convenient connectivity to Konkani people by resolving the prolonged issue of the Konkan Railway System. If he would have been able to address the matters of Konkan Railway and prolonged demands fulfilment, it will be his successful step toward the promises fulfilment and a great beginning for him.
