“It’s the Time to Boycott Inactive People Representatives” — Hon. Mr. Sunil Tatkare

NCP leaders are active and busy in election campaigns throughout the state. NCP leader and true leadership face of Konkan region Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare is engaged in different public meetings in the Raigad Loksabha constituency. Recently, he attended a public meeting at Harne, Dapoli Taluka. During this meeting, he said that with only one opportunity as a Member of Parliament I will be responsible for the development of this area. Unfortunately, the prior people representative who has been the Member of Parliament for 30 years has ignored our region with reference to development.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare delivered an effective speech at Harne, Dapoli Taluka, Ratnagiri District. During the meeting, he said that for all of us this election is the fight and the selection between inactivity versus activity. It is our responsibility to show the leaders who have been inactive for development programmes and initiatives in these regions and positioned as a Member of Parliament for 30 years. If you support me with your vote and if I get selected as the Member of Parliament, it will be my complete responsibility to ensure the development of our region. Our area is always ignored by the other people’s representatives and the unfortunate thing is that we have elected this person as the Member of Parliament for 30 years.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare further said that I have noticed many problems faced by fisherman (Machhimar/Koli) community. Their earning is based on fishery business. They are facing many problems. Actually, fishery business can be promoted, and it has great potential to increase wealth options for our country. The fishery cannot be the side business; it is the responsibility of the elected people’s representative to help the fishery business at different perspective; so that this business can play a great role in our economy. Recently, many people from this fisherman community are facing the issue of LED fishing. The elected representative needs to support the fisherman community so that this business can expand more. Also, for many years, there is a prolonged ignorance towards the demands of Harne port and jetty. I will work hard to resolve the questions and issues related to the fishermen’s problems in this area.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare further said that this region can get tremendous benefit if the region is well equipped with a port availed with ultra-modern facilities. If I could get the opportunity as a Member of Parliament, I will definitely raise the funds from the Central Government, and it will be my responsibility to develop an ultra-modern port in this area. Despite having the Member of Parliament position for 30 years, Mr. Anant Geete ignored the demands of fishermen community and the demands related to port development.

Hon. Mr. Sunil Tatkare also said that LED fishing problem has been raised in the tenure of the BJP Government. I request the fishermen community to support me, if you boycott the voting process, you will indirectly help the BJP Government. I will fight for your demands and will try to change the State Government’s rules for retaining the rights of traditional fishing. Now it is your turn to boycott the previously elected people’s representatives who have not worked for you and just showed their inactivity.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare addressed the issues of fishermen community at Harne area. The population of fishermen community at Harne area is considerable and it seems that Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare will get the support of this community with beneficial vote lead.
