Felicitation Ceremony at Pali, Raigad

After grand victory in 2019 Lok Sabha Election, Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare attended his first public meeting at Pali, Raigad. The occasion was his felicitation ceremony for being appointed as the new Member of Parliament for Raigad constituency. Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare expressed his feelings about the election result, the support of people and other parties and the agenda for the upcoming future.

MLA Honourable Mr. Dhairyasheel Patil congratulated Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare and wished him very best for the new inning. He also assured that Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare’s tenure as a Member of Parliament will be outstanding due to his development vision, public relations, and hard-work.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare said that I am thankful to Raigad-Ratnagiri people for their huge support in the election. They have chosen development oriented and active leadership and trusted me. He also thanked different supporting parties such as Congress party, Peasants and Worker’s Party for their massive contribution in the election campaign. He assured that he is not only a leader from the NCP but the true face of leadership of these parties also.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare further said that on 23rd May 2019 after 4–5 rounds of vote counting, he became more confident about his success in the election. There was a tough and cut-to-cut fight between Mr. Anant Geete and him. Shiv Sena activists were also sure about their victory and they were in the mood of success celebration. But the picture turned after the 8th round.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare became emotional during his speech with the memory of his failure in the 2014 election. He recalled that it was a tough fight between Mr. Geete and him. Last round of vote counting was pending and Mr. Geete defeated him with 2000 vote difference. He also thanked Shrivardhan people for their tremendous support and vote lead to him. He said that my way becomes easy due to the support of Shrivardhan voters. Their substantial vote lead helped him to compensate for other areas where he was lacking vote lead.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare concluded that in all it was a tough competition and his aim was to proceed further. Due to the support of the common public, he could achieve his target. In the 2014 elections, the Modi Government was expected to win with the huge support of people. In the 2019 election, we were expecting that no party will get the full backing. But results are out, and the picture is clear. I will give justice to my new position completely.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare is very clear about his development visions for the constituency. People showed their trust in him. The work style of Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare is completely different and appreciated by people. He has experience with a range of political positions he held, starting from Zillah Parishad, MLA, Finance Minister to Party regional President and which will help him in the new inning. Also, the guidance of Honourable Mr. Sharad Pawar would be valuable at each stage. In the next 5 years, the face of Raigad- Ratnagiri constituency is expected to change considerably due to the leadership, efforts, and foresight of Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare.
