In Raigad constituency, Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare defeated Shiv Sena leader Mr. Anant Geete with a significant difference of 21000 votes. The grand victory of Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare is attributed to his commitment and contribution towards different communities. Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkarealways worked for the betterment of each and every community in the society. His contributions to minority communities and backward communities are markable which has led to his appointment as a new Member of Parliament.

Muslim cemetery in Shrivardhan city lacked the security compound wall and had other issues. Due to these, animals used to enter the campus and their troublesome activities in the cemetery campus had increased. It had hurt the Muslim community. They informed this fact to Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkarewho considered the matter seriously and allocated 60 Lakhs funds for cemetery development work. The work of the compound wall and other improvement tasks are in progress.

In this way, Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare showed his commitment to the Muslim community and worked to retain their emotions. He engages himself in the celebration of different community festivals including Ramadan, Eid, etc. He also has helped different minority institutes in Raigad district to reward education facilities to minority students.
