7th Lok Sabha election results created history for the Raigad Lok Sabha constituency. The Member of Parliament for six terms Mr. Anant Geete has been defeated by NCP leader Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare with the 31000-vote difference. This grand victory has been achieved due to many reasons such as the continuous work of Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare for the betterment of people, inactive leadership of Mr. Anant Geete, Mr. Sunil Tatkare’s attitude towards the betterment of different communities, etc. Newly appointed Member of Parliament celebrated the occasion at Shivaji Chowk, Shrivardhan with a success rally. During the event, Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare said that he is always committed to the development of the people and development is his ultimate aim.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare got candid during the celebration occasion and said that Raigad people have always preferred their innovation and self-respect. They have struggled a lot for the achievement of this condition. There is a huge support to the BJP in the whole country, but Shrivardhan people supported me and I could get my own way to the Parliament.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare further said that I have always preferred to solve the problems of the masses and tried to help the common people. My priority has been always set and it is to assure the betterment of the people instead of criticizing others. Due to all these efforts, I could get this opportunity today to be appointed as a Member of Parliament for Raigad district. It has been possible due to the common man’s support and substantial vote lead. I will always work hard to fulfill your expectations and to add into the honor and pride of Raigad District at the national level. I always feel that I am just a party activist and I am bound to work as a party activist in the future. I will always try to keep up to the expectations of you all for the faith you have shown in me. It never happened to me that I lost my control and limits due to the success and I assure that in future also, it will not happen.

Honourable Mr. Sunil Tatkare also added that he has always availed different and massive funds for Shrivardhan Taluka. Now he is committed to ensuring different developmental initiatives at Shrivardhan Taluka through MP’s funds. He compared his political career and journey to Barrister Antule. He said that he is also following the footsteps and thought process Barrister Antule. He will use the political platform to assure the development of the Konkan region.

The grand celebration event was concluded by Mr. Aniket Tatkare. He thanked people for their huge support.
